Hani Rastgaran, a cultural official in charge of registering national heritages of Semnan Province, said that people dry this fruit in summer and use them for the winter, adding, the dossier of this practice to be included on the national Intangible Cultural Heritage List is ready for submission.

Sundried apricots can boost the immune system, reduce cholesterol, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Such inscription could safeguard the traditional practice and shows the continued importance of preserving traditional practices in Iranian culture.
